dress: vintage free grab bag via Rachel, shoes: thrifted
I'm pretty much going to wear this dress for the rest of the weekend. You think I kid but I am serious. This is the perfect barbecue dress and I am going to two this weekend so I do not have to worry about my clothes. (ok, I'll definitely wear it to one and the other my gingham dress probably to match Bea). The funniest thing happened today. I went to the thrift store and didn't buy anything! I almost did but I am seriously trying to pace myself. I have a trip to New York City next month and various social thrifting trips so I don't want to shoot my wad, so to speak. Also I am just in love with dresses and didn't find any today. Shorts are acceptable but pants are not on my mind lately. Why are my best clothes free? My last three posts have featured gifts. My life is crazy awesome and it keeps getting better. It is not perfect..I thought I lost my ipod yesterday and threw a literal fit. That is embarassing considering how much I have. Even poor people live like kings and queens in our society, but at what cost to other societies and the environment?
You are vintage pin-up perfection in this dress, wow! Have a wonderful time this weekend :)

That's a great dress - I'm sure you'll have a great time in NYC, I can't wait to get back there and spend a day scouring the vintage shops when I get back from England.

What a fab dress!! It does seem fitting for a BBQ or even fireworks and what not.
ReplyDeleteI feel your pain on trying to hold back on buying clothes! I'm moving back to Seattle in a month and I'm trying to save up all I can, so I can move out with friends once I get there. The temptation is killing me though. Majority of my free time is spent thrifting! Luckily I've been occupying myself with work and packing.
