Beatrix wanted to walk part of the way to the park today by herself.
The necklace I'm wearing was a gift from my mom on Mother's Day. It was handmade in Kenya. I happened to be wearing these shorts when I got it too and I think they go together quite nicely. I really am into highwaisted everything. It is funny because I remember not being a fan when I was younger. I found a new photo locale as the camera propped up quite nicely on the play gym.
shorts and top: Crimson and Cover Vintage
sandals: Cheap Thrills Secondhand
she picked it herself
dress: vintage
We had a lovely afternoon at the park. The weather was so warm today and it was really nice to be outside. Has anyone heard the new National album, High Violet? I just heard it and was quite taken with it. Boxer is one of my all time favorites.
ooh youre blog is so pretty i love this
ReplyDeletei love vintage !!!!! :D
im waiting for you on my blog ok? byee
love the purple shorts. you're right, high-waisted is so good right now, but i remember thinking they were lame back in the day. but am so sick of lo-rise. i think you should consider being a Crimson and Clover spokesmodel, or the very least, they should sponsor you!
ReplyDeleteYour shorts are so amazing, and the Beatrix's hat is cuter than I can put into words!
ReplyDeleteBeautiful as always, great shorts! man I love high waisted these days too, and skinny jeans, and back in middle/high school tight pants (butt-huggers) and high waisted (urkle pants) were so not cool... haha funny how times change. :) and I love this first photo of your daughter, she looks so angelic, and those flowers look like stars... sort of reminiscent of your blog background! gorgeous.
ReplyDeleteHow adorable is that first picture! Beatrix is so cute and she has such a great sense of style, this must be genetic :). i love high waisted too, it's kinda weird how our taste changes, right.
ReplyDeleteOh your daughter is so lovely!! And yes to the shorts with the necklace. I wore a VERY similar outfit on my blogshop (which I really should get going). I LOVE highwaisted everything too! And I was also SO against it (and tucking) in high school. But that was just the trend then and this is now.
ReplyDeleteThough I think the highwaisted tuck in suits me much better than the low waisted no tuck. It certainly suits you. You look very cool here. And the sunnies are perfect.
Did she really pick the clothes herself? She's going to be a fashion adviser! She's too cute :) Lovely clothes! :)
ReplyDeleteLove the necklace (and the shorts). It's a great summer, casual look - perfect for an afternoon in the park!
