Lazy Daze

Beatrix wanted to walk part of the way to the park today by herself.
The necklace I'm wearing was a gift from my mom on Mother's Day. It was handmade in Kenya. I happened to be wearing these shorts when I got it too and I think they go together quite nicely. I really am into highwaisted everything. It is funny because I remember not being a fan when I was younger. I found a new photo locale as the camera propped up quite nicely on the play gym.

We had a lovely afternoon at the park. The weather was so warm today and it was really nice to be outside. Has anyone heard the new National album, High Violet? I just heard it and was quite taken with it. Boxer is one of my all time favorites.

Earth Science

I am so inspired by Beatrix's outfit. It is mismatched perfection that she picked out herself.
chucks: goodwill
skirt and shirt: secondhand
I can't stop wearing this dress. It is so comfortable. In the morning I paired it with another pair of red tights. I've been wearing red tights so much this year and the color red in general. This is the only pic that you can kind of see a little bow that is part of the dress.
I felt I'd been wearing too much red so I changed into these later. I feel like it makes the outfit less plain. Not that there is anything wrong with simplicity.
dress: thrifted
boots:vintage
On our daily walk Beatrix was thrilled to see the moon during daylight hours.

I have seen so many other blogs that use the big pics but I'm not sure if I like it as you can't see the whole outfit on the screen at once. Any input would be appreciated.

She picked it herself

Bea picked that dress out last week at the thrift store and it looks amazing on her. Can't wait to watch men's figure skating tonight. I thought Johny Weir was scored a bit too low last time. He has such panache!
skirt, shoes, shirt: thrifted at various thrift stores in Northern California

Missing Beatrix

I haven't seen lil Bea in almost a week so I decided to console myself with some pictures from last summer.
All outfits are secondhand, thrifted or vintage. The third one is a professional photo by Jonathan Trousseau.

Where is the Moon?

Bea was so excited about her photo shoot but refused to smile. Nevertheless she still looks adorable and embodies the toddler rebel without a cause in these photos. She is really good at playing the harmonica and loves running with our dog Agnes. Last night she was very concerned as the moon was not out. She has been asking me all day where it is and is anticipating it's arrival tonight hopefully. She picked out everything but the blouse which I suggested she wear. Her outfit is a vintage blouse and leggings from her dad and his family's old baby clothes collection. The hat we got while thrifting.

She picked it herself

Thinking of making this a weekly feature. Outfit completely secondhand from various thrift stores and give away bags.
