Mustard Flowers Everywhere

For fun I thought I would show you the three different ways I styled my outfit today. The first way was the most simple because I threw it on before going to class. This is my default skirt when I don't know what to wear. I love it so much.

skirt: UO from Crimson & Clover
shoes and shirt: thrifted
When I got home I wanted to dress it up a little bit with some different shoes and a belt.

Later I took Aggy and Bea on a long walk to the park so I had to wear some more comfortable shoes.
Here is a picture of the vintage purse I recently thrifted and gave to my sister-in-law. It was so hard to part with.
I'm going to post the gunne sax dress I'm giving to my niece soon but I have to wait to give it to her so she can model it. I will be posting the next set of photos for the competition tomorrow!
Fyi there is a lovely giveaway at Flaming Hag Folkwear if you'd like to check it out.

Castle on my shirt

Beatrix helped me pick out my outfit today. She had a lot of fun although I did veto the shorts in favor of a skirt. We went to a big playground in the morning.

tee: crimson & clover $1
skirt: thrifted
shoes: thrift town

top and skirt: secondhand gift

We went to a thrift town today to get a few things and turn in my punch card.  I've been cutting back on shopping lately but found some dresses for the summer and sandals for Bea. I also found the necklace pictured above that matched my outfit perfectly. I am not used to how big the pictures are. The step between large and extra large is quite a leap.  Looking forward to the weekend although we are mainly just studying. What are your plans?

Green Leaf

I found this blouse last month and fell in love with the green leaf print. It is very unique and was sewn from a pattern by someone. It also was only $1.
The skirt was purchased from Crimson and Clover Vintage and is one of my favorites.

I found Beatrix's dress while thrifting last month. She got quite a few complements on it at the grocery store today.
I am on spring break this week and have been cooking quite a bit lately despite my eyes being so itchy from all these beautiful flowers. We made apple caramel cupcakes yesterday and last weekend made biscuits, gravy, mashed potatoes, collard greens, and barbecue tofu. I feel like I haven't made a meal from scratch like that in ages. I am working on a presentation on factory farming practices for my ethics classes and am in absolute disbelief at not only the treatment of the animals but the unhealthiness of the meat for the consumer.  Outfit wise I've been trying to be more creative with the clothes I have and plan to do some alterations as well. How is your week going?
